Description:

DSPE-PEG-PDP is one of reactive phospholipid PEG derivatives that can react with free thiolgroups. DSPE (1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine) is an 18 carbonphospholipid that is highly hydrophobic. PEG backbone, on the other hand,offers good hydrophilicity and water solubility. PDP (pyridyldisulfide)functionalized DSPE PEG is able to react with free thiol groups to form adisufide bond which can be cleaved by DTT or other disulfide reducing reagents.Reaction between PDP and thiol allows the attachment of DSPE PEG to thiolbearing molecules or particles with high efficiency.
