Description:

N3-PEG-SH is one of thiolated Click ChemistryPEG derivatives. Azide reacts with alkyne group efficiently in aqueous solutioncatalyzed by cooper ions. 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition between alkyne and azide isa high yield Click Chemistry reaction that enables conjugation of two correspondentmolecules together with high efficiency. Azide can also react with strainpromoted cyclooctyne without need any catalyst. Meanwhile, thiol/sulfhydryl groupcan react with a variety of thiol reactive groups such as maleimides, vinyls,iodoacetyl, etc. It can also be used for gold particle or film modifcation dueto strong binding affinity between thiol and noble metal surfaces. PEG linkerbetween azide and thiol offers better water solubility, flexible linkerstructure and enhanced stability.
