Description:

BIOTIN-PEG-NH2 is one of reactive biotinylation PEG derivatives that can be used to attachbiotin tag to proteins, peptides, particles and other materials surfaces viaits reactive amine group (-NH2). Amine group reacts readily with a number ofamine reactive groups, such as succinimidyl ester (NHS), COOH, aldehyde, etc toform stable covalent bonds. Pegylated biotin has high affinity toward avidin orstreptavidin. Biotin/avidin system has been used widely in biomoleculedetection and separation. PEG linker between biotin and amine offers betterwater solubility, flexible linker structure and enhanced stability. Morenotably, biotin PEG amine is water soluble, all reactions or assays canbe carried out in aqueous buffer without need any organic solvents.
